Please read these Terms and Conditions ("Terms") carefully before booking services with Beauty by Vespa. By booking our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Services
Beauty by Vespa provides professional hair and makeup artistry services for weddings, editorial, and special events in the New York City and Brooklyn area. All services are subject to availability and must be booked in advance.
2. Booking & Deposits
A non-refundable retainer (deposit) is required to secure your date and artist. This retainer will be applied toward your total balance. Your date is not confirmed until the retainer is received and a booking agreement is signed.
3. Payment
All payments are processed through GlossGenius and Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. Remaining balances are due according to the payment schedule outlined in your booking agreement. Late payments may result in cancellation of services.
4. Cancellation & Rescheduling
Cancellations by the client will result in forfeiture of the retainer. Cancellations made within 30 days of the event date may be subject to additional fees up to the full contract amount, depending on the circumstances. We understand that emergencies happen and will do our best to work with you.
If we need to cancel for reasons beyond our control, we will make every effort to find a qualified replacement artist and will refund any amounts paid beyond the retainer.
5. Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests are subject to artist availability. Retainers may be transferred to a new date (within 12 months) at our discretion. Changes to the event date do not guarantee the same artist.
6. Trial Sessions
Trial sessions are a separate, non-refundable service and are strongly recommended for bridal clients. Trials do not guarantee the same results on the event day, as lighting, setting, and wear conditions vary.

It is the client's responsibility to inform us of any known allergies or skin sensitivities prior to the appointment. Beauty by Vespa is not liable for any adverse reactions if this information is not disclosed.
9. Photography & Portfolio Use
Beauty by Vespa may photograph our work for portfolio and marketing purposes, including on our website and social media (@beautybyvespa). If you do not wish your images to be used, please notify us in writing before your service date.
10. Limitation of Liability
Beauty by Vespa's liability to you shall not exceed the total amount paid for the services provided. We are not responsible for circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to illness, emergencies, severe weather, or travel delays.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Brooklyn, New York.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page.

- Notifying us of any skin sensitivities, allergies, or conditions before the service
- Ensuring adequate lighting and a clean workspace is available at the event location
- Being ready at the scheduled start time — delays may result in reduced service time
